On Rt. 97 north of WESTMINSTER.

   

Comments:

  Built in 1797 as a brick gristmill.  Beautifully restored and in operation as part of an historic landmark.  The breast wheel is made of wood.  The interior is restored to best show the milling equipment for educational purposes.   They grind Whole Wheat, Yellow Corn Meal, Roasted Yellow Corn Meal, White Corn Meal, Buckwheat, and sometimes Rye.
Operation Schedule:
  June 1 to September 1
Open Tuesday to Friday 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, Noon - 4:00 p.m.
     A nominal fee is charged for tours which includes a grinding exhibition.
