3 stories of post and beam construction built on the site of an 1858 mill which burned in 1862.  French Buhr stone was used for milling until about 1900, when steel rollers were installed. Later a Midget Marvel was installed.   The mill is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.  The mill is currently being restored by Organ State Parks & Recreation Department.  Boston Mill Society is a Friends Group of volunteers working with the Park to restore and manage the Thomspson's Mills Site.
