Near FALLS CHURCH, VA, Rt. 7.  From the Washington Beltway (Rt. 465), take Exit 10B Tysons Corners (Rt. 7 West) for 5 miles.  At the intersection of Colvin Run Road & Rt. 7 (Leesburg Pike 18 miles east of Leesburg, VA.)

   

Comments:

  A two storey brick with gable roof; 3 run buhrs.  Wooden overshot wheel with frame flume.  Restored as central theme of an historical park.  Built 1802/1811 and restored in 1968 and 1972.  During 2000 through 2002, the mill underwent extensive restoration.  A new wooden flume, new flume underpinnings and a new wooden overshot water wheel were constructed and installed.  Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, 1977.  For further information, see: TIMS Fourth Transactions, 1977 "Colvin Run Mill Restoration", pages 285 to 290.
Operation Schedule:
  Open Wednesday thru Monday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m..
         Winter Hours - Jan & Feb 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
         Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.

Admission is Free  -  There is a charge for guided tours.
