Location:

  5 miles west of BELOIT, WI.  From Beloit city limits, proceed west for 5 miles on Liberty Avenue (Hwy 81) to County Road H, then south on H for one mile.
   

Comments:

  Built as a flour and gristmill using buhrstones powered by 1 Leffel 36 inch turbine and 1 Houston 24 inch turbine.  Ceased operating in 1954.  Presently undergoing restoration by "Friends of Beckman Mill, Inc.".  A Grant from SPOOM has aided in the restoration.  The property, mill and building are owned by Rock County.  The restoration group has leased the mill and surrounding area for restoration purposes.  Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, 9/7/77.
