Wake County NC Parks, Recreation and Open Space seeks a Park Technician of Mill Operations and Education for Historic Yates Mill and Crowder County Parks. We’re looking for a dynamic individual with proven skills in historic interpretation, who exhibits essential customer service, and has a passion for history and parks to join our quality-driven team. As a member of our team, you’ll assist in delivering these services while regularly interacting with our community and supporting daily operations and maintenance of our facilities.
Historic Yates Mill dates to the 1750s, pre-dating the American Revolution and the founding of Raleigh NC. The grist mill officially closed for business in the 1950s, was fully restored by 2000 and is the centerpiece of Historic Yates Mill County Park.
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week
Hiring Range: 22.14 - 28.73
